TOGGLE secures $10.5 million in series A funding

MUFG Innovation Partners Co., Ltd. joins existing investors Rose Park Advisors, Fifth Down Capital, and Greycroft to accelerate growth globally and expand direct integrations with leading brokerage platforms.

New York, July 21, 2021 – TOGGLE, the intelligent investing dashboard, today announced a $10.5M Series A investment round led by existing investors Rose Park Advisors, Fifth Down Capital and Greycroft. MUFG Innovation Partners Co., Ltd. a corporate venture capital fund and wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, one of the largest banking institutions in the world, joined the round as a new investor. Westrie Capital and Gaingels also participated.

The latest investment will enable TOGGLE to greatly increase the number of direct integrations with brokerage platforms and become the default intelligent portfolio dashboard for the millions of retail investors in the US and globally. It will also enable TOGGLE to broaden its data universe, ultimately achieving coverage of all publicly traded investment securities.

“Investors have a rapidly expanding universe of data, but the tools to turn this mountain of data into useful insights can’t keep up, and oftentimes, retail investors don’t have access to the sophisticated data that institutional investors are accustomed to,” said Jan Szilagyi, CEO and co-founder of TOGGLE. "70% of retail traders lose money over the course of their trading career. TOGGLE empowers them with tools that dramatically improve their odds of success and makes hedge-fund grade analytics and data accessible to every investor.”

TOGGLE’s AI engine assimilates and analyzes billions of data points to cut through the noise and help users make smarter decisions. Investors can access TOGGLE via mobile app and web, and easily link up their portfolios from many popular brokerage platforms. Within 12 months of launching the platform to the public, TOGGLE is nearing $1 billion in connected portfolios on the platform.

“TOGGLE is led by an incredibly talented founder team, Jan Szilagyi and Giuseppe Sette, and is one of the most important financial technology products to come along that does good and changes lives for the better. It is common knowledge that the massive market of retail trading struggles to consistently make money, and TOGGLE simply levels that playing field for the average investor. Given this, it is hard to imagine investing without TOGGLE,” said Andrew M. Spellman, Founder, Fifth Down Capital.

Rose Park Advisors co-founder and Managing Partner Matt Christensen emphasized, “By providing an easy to use, innovative service to retail investors who are largely underserved or ignored by incumbent platforms, TOGGLE’s app delivers actionable insights for less than what investors used to pay for executing just a few trades, democratizing tools that were exclusively the domain of hedge funds and sophisticated institutional investors.”

“TOGGLE’s actionable insights provide a powerful resource to investors for tracking their portfolios and making more informed investment decisions,” said Takashi Sano, Chief Investment Officer, MUFG Innovation Partners. “Through our investment, we seek to establish a strategic relationship and promote further collaboration in the future, especially as TOGGLE enters the Japan market.”
